DISTILLED: Panama, Jamaica and the US Virgin Islands.
TASTE: Dark chocolate, caramel, and molasses combine to give way to a warming flavor of muscovado sugar, gingerbread and baking spice.
FINISH: Smooth, sweet and full bodied.
WHAT MAKES IT SPECIAL: Aged up to eight years in sherry casks, delivering the complexity of a bourbon in a rum package.

I’m a bourbon fan and wasn’t sure if I would like rum but I was genuinely surprised by the smooth taste of this offering. Not totally unlike a lower proof bourbon yet different. The approachable palate and finish is something I feel whiskey enthusiasts would enjoy. Since purchasing this run I have tried other brands that advertise as smooth aged rum and must say was seriously disappointed. The best endorsement I could give is to say I will be rebuying this product when I run low. And actually I bought a bottle for a friend who enjoys rum.
